Lima City, Iquitos City and The Amazon rainforest

Day 1: Landing in Lima City

Upon arrival at the Lima City Airport, a bucket list destinations representative will meet you and Transfer to the hotel in Miraflores district and Overnight stay in Lima.

Day 2: Peruvian Cuisine (buffet) and Visit to Huaca Pucllana in Miraflores District

Breakfast at the hotel, and free morning at your leisure. pick up at 11:30 am, we will enjoy an exquisite buffet lunch of the best Peruvian cuisine, recognized worldwide for its delicious Peruvian dishes and desserts. after lunch, you will discover the fascinating history of Peru on a cultural journey through Lima’s most iconic archaeological and colonial treasures. Begin your experience with a guided visit to Huaca Pucllana, an ancient pre-Inca pyramid nestled in the heart of modern-day Miraflores. Learn about Lima’s early civilizations and the ceremonial significance of this unique site. Throughout the tour, your professional bilingual guide (English/Spanish) will provide rich commentary, offering insights into Peru’s ancient cultures, religious beliefs, and artistic expressions. Day 3: Pachacamac Sanctuary and Larco Mar

Breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up from your hotel at the previously coordinated time in order to drive to the Pachacamac Sanctuary. Once we arrive at the archeological site, our guide will lead you through the most important structures explaining to you all the necessary background information in order to be able to truly appreciate this place. You will have an incredible panoramic view of the whole complex while you will learn about the creator of the divine universe according to the cosmology of the Andean people. The citadel includes temples, pyramids, and palaces. Out of which you will see the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of Pachacamac, “Acllahuasi” or the Palace of the virgins of the sun, amongst others. All these places were considered sacred and played an important role in the mystical world. later, we will head off to Larco Mar an underground mall next to the Pacific Ocean where we will have lunch. after lunch free time at your leisure, and then we will head to Inca market where you can get some souvenirs. then, transfer to the hotel and free time at your leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Leaving For Iquitos City

Breakfast at the hotel, free morning at your leisure, Lunch time and at the right time pick up and transfer to the airport. Flight to Iquitos City, arrival and transfer to teh hotel, check in and free evening at your leisure, dinner and overnight in Iquitos City Hotel.

Day 5: Iquitos City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel, then we will pick you up from your hotel for transfer to visit to the Manatee Rescue Center, where we can see this wonderful purpose to develop rescue, recovering and release programs of aquatic mammals and wild fauna in Loreto, supported by an environmental education program, contributing to the conservation of these species and their ecosystems. Then we will continue to the Quistococha National Tourist Park by our personnel. This beautiful natural environment is located 3 miles SW of Iquitos, driving on the new road that connects this city with Nauta. Here you will be able to see many specimens of the vast Amazon rainforest fauna kept in captivity or semi-captivity, including tapirs, giant river otters, caimans, anacondas, ocelots, jaguars as well as different kinds of primates. There are also freshwater fish exhibits including the “paiche” (Arapaima gigas), world’s largest freshwater specie. The visit to Quistococha would not be complete without visiting or best yet swimming in its beautiful lagoon. The place offers a charming setting with the surrounding forest and blue sky reflecting upon its mirrored waters. Visitors will also find a white sand beach, a restaurant and other safe facilities nearby. At the end of the tour, our personnel will take you back to your hotel in Iquitos, Free evening at your leisure.

Day 6: Iquitos City, Nanay River, amazon River and Lodge

Breakfast at the hotel, Pick up at 9:30am. Boat ride along the Nanay River to the majestic Amazon River, the largest river in the world, arriving at our first stop, Explanation of the 3 rivers that join: the Nanay River, the Itaya River, and the Amazon River, Visit the Kukamas or Yaguas Indigenous Community, one of the 23 indigenous communities in the Amazon. They have a small settlement, where you can enjoy and participate in an exhibition of their songs and dances, and purchase beautiful handicrafts they make. Candy for the community's children is welcome! Visit Fundo Pedrito, an animal farm where we will feed paiches, piranhas, caimans, turtles, parrots, macaws, and anacondas, and appreciate the famous Victoria Regia plant. Arrival at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park at noon, lunch and then return to your cabins On a trip to the Free-Range Animal Reserve, we'll visit this spacious and unique space where monkeys will be waiting to have fun and get some of your attention. We'll also see macaws, anteaters, parrots, sloths, the prehistoric "mata mata" turtle, and the much-feared anaconda or boa constrictor. Dinner 7:30pm enjoy a delicious dinner and our cozy bar. Night excursion, at nightfall you will be guided on a hike or by canoe through the mysterious jungle in order to observe tarantulas, cicadas, spiders, scorpions, praying mantises. You will also distinguish the calls of owls and the "ayaymamas" and sounds of nocturnal animals. Overnight at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park.

Day 7: Birdwatching, Swimming in the Amazon and more adventure

Sunrise excursion at about 4:30 a.m., we can enjoy the sunrise in this wonderful landscape, unique in the world. Birdwatching This morning walk will allow you to observe and learn about the typical birds of the area in all their splendor. Don't forget your camera and be quiet so as not to scare the animals away, return to our ecolodge to enjoy a delicious breakfast. later we will visit the Avatar Canopy Park, 35 meters high, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the jungle and our newest attraction, the CANOPY! Featuring a 12-station circuit with zip lines, hanging bridges, a climbing net, a pendulum, and more! An adrenaline-filled experience! (Maximum weight allowed: 100 kg). After all that adrenaline, you can enjoy the refreshing pool. Lunch at 1:00 p.m. at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park. Piranha Fishing and Other Activities This relaxing sport is practiced using traditional methods, as the indigenous communities of the area do, or with the tools you require for a pleasurable sport fishing experience. Swimming in the Amazon River 10 minutes from the ecolodge is the majestic Amazon River where you can swim in its warm waters and spend some time enjoying such spectacular and unique landscape. Mud treatment (in summer) on the banks of the Amazon River. You'll find small islands where you can enjoy an excellent bath and mud treatment for your skin in this fabulous natural spa that the jungle has to offer. Don't forget your swimsuit. Watching Pink and Gray Dolphins: You can fully appreciate these beautiful dolphins and enjoy their elegance along the length and breadth of the Amazon River. The red dolphin is a very special character in jungle legends. Many women claim to have been seduced by a dolphin transformed into a handsome young man. Dinner at 7:30pm enjoy a delicious dinner and our cozy bar. Legends and stories based on Amazonian mythology told by the guides. Overnight at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park.

Day 8: Botanical walk, flora and fauna and San Rafael Community.

Breakfast at 7:30 am. in the Lodge, Botanical Walk You will be able to observe typical flora and fauna of the place and learn about the multiple uses that local people give to each plant, we will see fruit, medicinal and timber trees, we will take a walk to visit this gigantic and ancient monumental tree called Lupuna or Ceiba de la selva, encountering along the way the density of the Amazon rainforest + its charms. Lunch at 1:00 p.m. at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park. Visit the Morphosapi Butterfly Farm located in the community of San Rafael, where we will see the entire evolution and development process of this beautiful species in different greenhouses. Dinner at 7:30pm enjoy a delicious dinner and our cozy bar. Overnight at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park

Day 9: Amazon River, Yanayacu River and San Juan de Huachalado Town.

Breakfast 7:30am at Avatar Amazon Lodge. We will go on our Adventure, we will navigate the Amazon River until we reach one of its branches and visit the town of San Juan de Huachalado, which we will cross meeting its locals and its diverse flora and fauna until we reach the Yanayacu River, a river of black waters, we will spend the morning exploring and doing fishing, sailing and hiking activities, we will see the famous giant tree called Lupuna, we will find the Tarzan vines along the way (depending on the season). Visit the Trapiche in San Juan de Huachalado, where you can learn how the area's typical alcoholic beverages are made and taste them. Lunch at 1:00 p.m. at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park Relaxing afternoon at the ecolodge for rest and personal activities. Dinner at Avatar Amazon Lodge: Enjoy a delicious dinner and our cozy bar. Overnight at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park

Day 10: Return to Lima and Hometown

Breakfast 7:30am at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park Visit the community of Fátima, a community near our ecolodge, where you can learn about their customs, drinks, and ways of life. Plant a tree before leaving our jungle and participate in our Amazon reforestation program. Lunch at 1:00pm at Avatar Amazon Lodge. Check out and transfer at 2:00 p.m., sailing along the Amazon River, returning to your hotel in Iquitos or directly to the airport. Arrival in Iquitos at 3:30 p.m. Last transfer included.
