Day 1: Landing in Lima City Airport
Upon arrival at the Lima City Airport, a bucket list destinations representative will meet you and Transfer to the hotel in Miraflores district and Overnight stay in Lima.
Day 2: Leaving For Cusco City
Breakfast at the hotel, pick up and transfer to the airport to get your domestic flight to Cusco City. Travelling from Lima to Cusco you will have gone from sea level to the heady heights of 11,500 feet. To give you the chance to acclimatize, the first day is free for relaxation. But if you're up for a bit of exploring, the city center is pedestrian-friendly and full of fascinating sites, colors and people. We're happy to recommend the city's best options for delicious dining and exciting shopping. Overnight in Cusco City Hotel.
Day 3: Half Day Cusco City Tour
Breakfast at the hotel, pick up from the hotel and during your tour of Cusco, the capital of the Incan Empire, you will visit Sacsayhuaman, an immense Incan complex with impressive stonework; Koricancha, one of the most important Incan temples (the walls were once actually coated in gold!), live folklore show to appreciate the different dances of the different regions of the city of Cusco, Dinner and transfer to the hotel, overnight in Cusco City Hotel.
Day 4: Machu Picchu
After breakfast, you will be taken to Ollantaytambo train station to get the train to Machu Picchu, the hidden Inca citadel. This hour-and-a-half to two-hour train journey is one of the most scenic in the world, winding through mountain, river valleys, high jungle and mystical cloud forests. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, the town at the base of Machu Picchu, you will be met at the train station and accompanied to the bus station for a 20-minute ride up to the citadel. Next, you will meet your expert, English-speaking guide for a tour of the most important sites in Machu Picchu, including the Intihuatana (Sun Stone), the Sun Temple, and the Room of 3 Windows. Plus, you’ll be able to marvel at lush mountains that mystically conceal the ruins. In the late afternoon, you will take a comfortable train back to Cusco and then be transferred to your Cusco hotel for the evening. Dinner and overnight in Cusco City.
Day 5: Leaving For Iquitos City
Breakfast at the hotel, pick up and transfer to the airport to get our flight to Iquitos City, arrival in Iquitos City airport, transfer to your hotel in Iquitos, Check in and free day at your leisure, overnight in Iquitos City Hotel.
Day 6: Leaving For The Avatar Amazon lodge
Breakfast at the hotel, pick up at the adventure gets started at 9:30am. Boat ride along the Nanay River to the majestic Amazon River, the largest river in the world, arriving at our first stop. Explanation of the 3 rivers that join: the Nanay River, the Itaya River, and the Amazon River. Later we will Visit the Kukamas or Yaguas Indigenous Community, one of the 23 indigenous communities in the Amazon. They have a small settlement, where you can enjoy and participate in an exhibition of their songs and dances, and purchase beautiful handicrafts they make. Candy for the community's children is welcome! Visit Fundo Pedrito, an animal farm where we will feed paiches, piranhas, caimans, turtles, parrots, macaws, and anacondas, and appreciate the famous Victoria Regia plant. Arrival at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park at noon, lunch and then return to your cabins, On a trip to the Free-Range Animal Reserve, we'll visit this spacious and unique space where monkeys will be waiting to have fun and get some of your attention. We'll also see macaws, anteaters, parrots, sloths, the prehistoric "mata mata" turtle, and the much-feared anaconda or boa constrictor. Dinner 7:30pm enjoy a delicious dinner and our cozy bar. Night excursion, at nightfall you will be guided on a hike or by canoe through the mysterious jungle in order to observe tarantulas, cicadas, spiders, scorpions, praying mantises. You will also distinguish the calls of owls and the "ayaymamas" and sounds of nocturnal animals. Overnight at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park.
Day 7: Avatar Amazon Lodge
Sunrise excursion at 4:30 a.m., where we can enjoy the sunrise in this wonderful landscape, unique in the world. Birdwatching This morning walk will allow you to observe and learn about the typical birds of the area in all their splendor. Don't forget your camera and be quiet so as not to scare the animals away. Return to our ecolodge to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Breakfast 7:30am Walk to our Avatar Canopy Park, 35 meters high, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the jungle and our newest attraction, the CANOPY! Featuring a 12-station circuit with zip lines, hanging bridges, a climbing net, a pendulum, and more! An adrenaline-filled experience! (Maximum weight allowed: 100 kg). After all that adrenaline, you can enjoy the refreshing pool. Lunch 1:00 p.m. at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park Piranha Fishing and Other Activities This relaxing sport is practiced using traditional methods, as the indigenous communities of the area do, or with the tools you require for a pleasurable sport fishing experience. Swimming in the Amazon River 10 minutes from the ecolodge is the majestic Amazon River where you can swim in its warm waters and spend some time enjoying such spectacular and unique landscape. Mud treatment (in summer) on the banks of the Amazon River. You'll find small islands where you can enjoy an excellent bath and mud treatment for your skin in this fabulous natural spa that the jungle has to offer. Don't forget your swimsuit. Watching Pink and Gray Dolphins: You can fully appreciate these beautiful dolphins and enjoy their elegance along the length and breadth of the Amazon River. The red dolphin is a very special character in jungle legends. Many women claim to have been seduced by a dolphin transformed into a handsome young man. Dinner 7:30pm enjoy a delicious dinner and our cozy bar. Legends and stories based on Amazonian mythology told by the guides. Overnight at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park.
Day 8: Avatar Amazon Lodge
Breakfast 7:30am at Avatar Amazon Lodge. We will go on our Adventure, we will navigate the Amazon River until we reach one of its branches and visit the town of San Juan de Huachalado, which we will cross meeting its locals and its diverse flora and fauna until we reach the Yanayacu River, a river of black waters, we will spend the morning exploring and doing fishing, sailing and hiking activities, we will see the famous giant tree called Lupuna, we will find the Tarzan vines along the way (depending on the season) Visit the Trapiche in San Juan de Huachalado, where you can learn how the area's typical alcoholic beverages are made and taste them. Lunch 1:00 p.m. at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park Relaxing afternoon at the ecolodge for rest and personal activities. Dinner at Avatar Amazon Lodge: Enjoy a delicious dinner and our cozy bar. Overnight at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park.
Day 9: Avatar Amazon Lodge
Breakfast 7:30am at Avatar Amazon Lodge & Canopy Park Visit the community of Fátima, a community near our ecolodge, where you can learn about their customs, drinks, and ways of life. Plant a tree before leaving our jungle and participate in our Amazon reforestation program. Check out 12:30 p.m. Lunch 1:00pm at Avatar Amazon Lodge. Transfer at approximately 2:00 p.m., sailing along the Amazon River, returning to your hotel in Iquitos, overnight in Iquitos City Hotel.
Day 10: Leaving For Lima City
Breakfast at the hotel, free morning at your leisure, at the right time, pick up and transfer to the aiport to get your flight to Lima City, arrival in Lima City airport and farewell (Lima City Tour) optional on request.
